At North America Fashion Week, diversity isn’t just a value — it’s our foundation. As part of AmPowering‘s mission to build stronger communities through inclusion, NAFW provides a platform where designers, models, and artists of all backgrounds can showcase their talent.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
- All Backgrounds Welcome — Our casting calls are open to models of all ages, sizes, ethnicities, and experience levels
- Global Designers — We feature designers from across the globe, celebrating fashion traditions from every culture
- Cultural Fashion — Alongside haute couture and streetwear, we showcase cultural fashion that tells stories of heritage and identity
- Non-Profit Mission — As a 501(c)(3) organization, our goal is community empowerment, not profit
Part of Something Bigger
NAFW is one of several multicultural events organized by AmPowering, including the Seattle Color Festival (Holi), Festival of Light & Joy (Lohri), city parades, and cultural pageants like Mrs. India Canada, Miss India Washington, and the Global Asia Pageant.
Together, these events have helped over 300,000 people, distributed 225,000+ lbs of groceries, 80,000+ PPEs, and served 150,000+ meals.
When you participate in NAFW, you’re not just walking a runway or showcasing a collection — you’re part of a movement that transforms lives.
